We always need more research so please if you find papers that are not on our list please send us the link or the doc.
Looking at all the studies (we only have the tip of the iceberg here - there is in excess of 200 scientific studies that show a health problem from mobile phone technology) it looks as if they've proven a health risk over and over and over again.
However the argument the authorities and industry constantly chuck out is "...these studies have not been replicated.. they must be replicated before they can be scientifically accepted..." The implication is always that this has been tried and failed.. this is not true. From what we can gather studies are not replicated because they are not repeated (they are not given funding).
If the Government is serious about protecting our health and putting our children before profit then its time they put ourmoney where their mouth is. We guess that if the NEW research programs turn out a health effect they will be rubbished as not replicated. Lets put our taxes into repeating some of these studies so that we can finally get a true picture of the science
Experiments with Cress [and Wi-Fi] in 9th Grade attracts international attention [Denmark] 16th May 2013
- Parent Category: Health
Foreign researchers are extremely excited for a biology project from five 9th grade girls.
Researchers from England, Holland and Sweden have shown great interest in the five girls' biology experiments.
Take 400 Cress seeds and place them into 12 trays. Then place six trays in two rooms at the same temperature. Give them the same amount of water and sun over 12 days, and remember to expose half of them to mobile [Wi-Fi] radiation.
It is a recipe for a biology test so brilliant that it has attracted international attention among acknowledged biologists and radiation experts. Behind the experiment are five girls from 9b in Hjallerup School in North Jutland, and it all started because they found it difficult to concentrate during the school day:
- We all think we have experienced difficulty concentrating in school, if we had slept with the phone next to our head, and sometimes also experienced having difficulty sleeping, explains Lea Nielsen, who is one of the five aspiring researchers.
The school was not equipped to test the effect of mobile phone radiation on them. Therefore, the girls had to find an alternative. And the answer was Cress.
Six trays of seeds were put into a room without radiation, and six trays were put into another room next to two [Wi-Fi] routers. Such routers broadcast the same type of radiation as an ordinary mobile.

Then it was just necessary to wait 12 days, observe, measure, weigh and take pictures along the way. And the result spoke was clear: cress seeds next to the router did not grow, and some of them were even mutated or dead.
- It is truly frightening that there is so much affect, so we were very shocked by the result, says Lea Nielsen.

The experiment secured the girls the finals in the competition "Young Scientists", but it was only the beginning. Renowned scientists from England, Holland and Sweden have since shown great interest in the girls' project so far.

The renowned professor at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Olle Johansson, is one of the impressed researchers. He will now repeat the experiment with a Belgian research colleague, Professor Marie-Claire Cammaert at the Université libre de Bruxelles, for the trial, according to him, is absolutely brilliant:
- The girls stayed within the scope of their knowledge, skilfully implemented and developed a very elegant experiment. The wealth of detail and accuracy is exemplary, choosing cress was very intelligent, and I could go on, he says.
He is not slow to send them an invitation to go on the road:
- I sincerely hope that they spend their future professional life in researching, because I definitely think they have a natural aptitude for it. Personally, I would love to see these people in my team!
No mobile by the bed
The five girls from northern Jutland have not yet decided their future careers. They are still very surprised by all the sudden attention.
- It has been such a rollercoaster ride. I still cannot believe it, says Lea Nielsen.
And Mathilde Nielsen added:
- It's totally overwhelming and exciting. It's just not something you experience every day.
But there have also been other consequences of the cress trial, which is quite low-tech in nature.
- None of us sleep with the mobile next to the bed anymore. Either the phone is put far away, or it is put in another room. And the computer is always off, says Lea Nielsen.
BioInitiative 2012 five-year update
- Parent Category: Health
A new report by the BioInitiative Working Group 2012 says that evidence for risks to health has substantially increased since 2007 from electromagnetic fields and wireless technologies (radiofrequency radiation). The Report reviews over 1600 new scientific studies. Cell phone users, parents-to-be, young children and pregnant woman are at particular risk.
There is a consistent pattern of increased risk for glioma (a malignant brain tumour) and acoustic neuroma with use of mobile and cordless phones saysLennart Hardell, MD at Orebro University, Sweden. “Epidemiological evidence shows that radiofrequency should be classified as human carcinogen. The FCC/IEEE and ICNIRP public safety limits and reference levels are not adequate to protect public health.”
A dozen new studies link cell phone radiation to sperm damage. Even a cell phone in the pocket or on a belt may harm sperm DNA, result in misshapen sperm, and impair fertility in men. Laptop computers with wireless internet connections can damage DNA in sperm.
Based on strong evidence for vulnerable biology in autism, EMF/RFR can plausibly increase autism risk and symptoms.
While we aggressively investigate the links between autism disorders and wireless technologies, we should minimize wireless and EMF exposures for people with autism disorders, children of all ages, people planning a baby, and during pregnancy,” says Martha Herbert, MD, PHD.
Wireless devices such as phones and laptops used by pregnant woman may alter brain development of the fetus. This has been linked in both animal and human studies to hyperactivity, learning and behaviour problems.
According to David O. Carpenter, MD, and co-editor of the 2012 Report.
There is now much more evidence to health affecting billions of people world-wide. The status quo is not acceptable in light of the evidence of harm.”
This study covers EMF from powerlines, electrical wiring, appliances and hand-held devices; and from wireless technologies (cell and cordless phones, cell towers, ‘smart meters’, Wi-Fi, wireless laptops, wireless routers, baby monitors, and other electronic devices). Health topics include damage to DNA and genes, effects on memory, learning, behaviour, attention, sleep disruption, cancer and neurological diseases like Alzheimer’s disease. New safety standards are urgently needed for protection against EMF and wireless exposures that now appear everywhere in daily life.

Why Our Urban Trees are Dying by Andrew Goldsworthy 2011
- Parent Category: Health
Trees are now dying mysteriously from a variety of diseases in urban areas all over Europe and are also showing abnormal photoperiodic responses. In addition, many have cancer-like growths under the bark (phloem nodules) and the bark may also split so that the underlying tissues become infected. All of these can be explained as being a result of weak radio-frequency radiation from mobile phones, their base stations, WiFi and similar sources of weak non-ionising radiation. But first let us look at how living organisms use electric currents that they generate themselves and which perform vital functions in their normal day-to-day metabolism and growth. We will then go on to see how weak electromagnetic fields can disrupt these and bring about many unwanted biological effects.
The Answer to Physicists - Scientific Paper 2011
- Parent Category: Health
The following scientific paper was presented in the International Conference on Enviromental Indicators in Haifa, Israel:-
"This paper addresses the argument stating that since the energy of a single RadioFrequency (RF) photon is extremely small it cannot influence matter significantly and therefore RF radiation cannot cause cancer. The argument is shown to be wrong sincemost known phenomena and uses of RF radiation involve many photons acting in unison. For example in a particle accelerator a multitude of RF photons act simultaneously on asingle elementary charged particle. We show that his holds for particle physics, capacitors, fluorescent tubes, radio communications, RADAR and living tissues. These phenomena arebest treated by considering RF radiation as a wave phenomenon."
In other words this scientific paper shows that all forms of Radio Frequency radiation - including microwaves from mobile or wireless devices - CAN cause Cancer.
Wi-Fi - Open Letter to Swindon Advertiser by Barrie Trower
- Parent Category: Health
To Whom It May Concern
I write in comment to the article in Swindon Evening Advertiser 16/02/2011 which was bought to my attention entitled ‘WiFi worry is Unfounded says Council’.
I gave a presentation in Swindon last October 2010 at the Pilgrim Centre ‘Know the Dangers .. Hear the Truth ‘ which was organised by Liz Brackenbury and attended by members of the public along with local councillors, representatives from Talk Swindon Forum and an MP.
During the question and answer session a local councillor stated his intention to go ahead and use wifi in schools etc. When asked what the safe level of exposure to microwave irradiation for a child was he replied ‘ i don t know’
Hence the title of this article is untrue.
Wifi worry is Unfounded says council. In fact the councillor was correct in his comments that he does’ t know what the safe level of microwave irradiation is for a child because there is NO safe level of microwave irradiation for a child known anywhere in the world.
Another quote in the article is also untrue. ‘Both the WHO and the HPA say there is no convincing evidence .... of ill effects’ This statement was made by their spokesperson who has since left to ‘consult’ for the mobile phone industry.
In fact 80% of the Data held by the WHO does show damage from continuous low level microwave irradiation, the WHO told the EU Parliament it would not comment on such dangers to adults until 2015 and only started observing effects on children in 2009, which means the WHO will not comment on children until roughly 2024.
A document published in 1976 by the US Government addressed to all world governments warned that low level microwaves could cause neuropathological and physiological illness in adults and children, at current wifi levels.
Since then the research published by the industry itself and universities have confirmed this. At particular risk is the embryo and young girls.
Research per reviewed and published shows damage to ovaries, testes, immune systems, nervous systems, sleep patterns etc. Unknown to most people is that children absorb more microwave irradiation than adults.
Childhood leukaemia’s were diagnosed from low level microwave irradiation ( by scientific advisor for the WHO – Dr J Goldsmith) as far back as 1950 ‘s
Neither children nor microwaves have changed since.
So tell me councillors: What is the safe level of microwave irradiation for a pupil or a pregnant teacher?
Who takes full legal responsibility for microwave transmitters in schools?
Will you show me the line of writing from your insurance policy which covers illness from microwave irradiation to the people you represent?
And finally what does no convincing scientific evidence.... mean?
Convincing to whom?
Our Government Scientists who assured us over smoking, BSE, Thalidomide, Asbestos?
The Government who take a share of the three trillion pound industry?
Please name for me and the mothers and fathers of Swindon just one credible person who will say ‘continuous low level microwave irradiation is safe for embryo s , infants and children, here is the evidence, peer reviewed and published.
I await your response.
